Pfc. Gregory Schollmeier, armor crewman, Company C, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, completes a 12-mile foot march more than five minutes faster than his closest competitor during the Fort Carson Non-commissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year competition, May 8, 2012. Schollmeier said his lead did not make him over-confident about the competition as a whole. "At the end of the day, we are all trying to be the best here, and the competition is very stiff."
