191001-N-JW440-2218 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Oct. 1, 2019) Aviation Machinist's Mate 1st Class Melvin Fernandez, from Pleasantville, Tenn., performs maintenance on the tail rotor of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 37, aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108). Wayne E. Meyer is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
