    NOTRE DAME, Ind. (Sept. 28, 2019) Adm. Christopher W. Grady, commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, center, is presented with the Rev. William Corby, C.S.C.,Award by Brian Davis, the University of Notre Dame Alumni Board president. Established in 1985, the award is conferred on an alumnus/alumna who has distinguished themselves in military service, and is presented in honor of Notre Dame’s third president who was a celebrated Civil War chaplain of the Union Army’s Irish Brigade.
