PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Sept. 25, 2019) – Lt. Cmdr. David Viayra, suicide prevention resources director, emcees the GMT Suicide Prevention Awareness training and shares a few stories from his time in the Navy to becoming involved in suicide prevention awareness. NMCP set up a display of 79 pairs of boots to remember the 79 Sailors who were lost to suicide in 2018, and to raise awareness for suicide prevention during the GMT Suicide Prevention Awareness training.
