Spc. Alex Jimenez, a native of Lawrence, Mass., disappeared in a May 12 attack on his section on Route Malibu near Qarghuli Village, Iraq. Jimenez, listed as missing/captured, has been the focus of sustained searches since that time, not only by his own unit, but troops all over Iraq. Jimenez is assigned to the Company D, 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) out of Fort Drum, N.Y.
