Steven Sieker, Platoon 1031, Company B, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, fireman's carries a fellow May 1 at Weapons and Field Training Battalion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Sieker is a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department and went through recruit training to gain leadership skills that can only be instilled in the Marine Corps.
