ANNAPOLIS, Md. (September 16, 2019) Leanne Caret, CEO of Boeing Defense, speaks to the Midshipman brigade for the first Forrestal Lecture Series of the school year. Caret recognized the Navy’s commitment to “excellence and the fair treatment of all” from the Sailor’s Creed and applied its principles to success in business, and she hopes that all members of the brigade carry these ideas of “Grit, Gumption, Grace, and Gratitude” to the fleet where Sailors and Marines look to them for guidance in challenging circumstances. As the undergraduate college of our country's naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the US.
