WWII Veterans who served with the North Carolina National Guard’s 30th Infantry Division ride with reenactors and current N.C. Guardsmen through the area where the 30th began the liberation of the Netherlands 75 years ago to the day, before arriving at a ceremony held to commemorate the event in Mesch, Netherlands on Sept. 12, 2019. Guardsmen, who can trace their unit’s lineage to the 30th Infantry Division, traveled to the Netherlands to help commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands, and help escort the WWII Veterans.
