(Sept. 11, 2019) Aviation Electronics Technician 3rd Class Thomas Richards, assigned to the Grey Knights of Patrol Squadron (VP) 46, starts up the secondary power distribution system aboard VP-46’s first P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine warfare patrol aircraft. VP-46 has recently returned from deployment in the U.S. 5th Fleet and U.S. 7th Fleet areas of operations and is making preparations to transition from the P-3C platform to the P-8A Poseidon.
