Jackson Katz, whose TED Talk video, “Violence Against Women–It’s a Men’s Issue,” discussed how victims blame themselves, but the reality is that violent behaviors are tied to unconscious definitions of manhood that must be challenged and redefined to stop normalizing perpetrator-like behaviors within society. Katz gave cadets the opportunity to define what leadership should be during his visit.
