(September 11, 2019) Chief petty officer selectees from the Center for Information Warfare Training, Naval Hospital Pensacola, Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Pensacola and Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station conduct a 9/11 remembrance ceremony onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola Corry Station, Florida. Staff from all the commands attended and Cmdr. Eduardo Salazar, commanding officer of NIOC Pensacola, delivered remarks. The nearly 3,000 people killed that day marked the single largest loss of life from a foreign attack on American soil. That same day, the United States officially declared "War on Terror."
