A morale award is presented to U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Edwin Delgado Jr., the communications transmissions chief with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, for having the best chili during a chili cook-off held by the 13th MEU communications platoon at Camp Pendleton, Calif., September 6, 2019. The communications section held the chili cook-off to further enhance morale and comradery amongst the marines in their section. The California-based 13th MEU is a scalable, and highly capable Marine Air Ground Task Force, designed to rapidly respond to a wide range of military operations around the globe.
