190828-N-IK959-1071 GREAT LAKES, Ill., (August 28, 2019) – Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Navy Diver candidates train with SCUBA (Self-contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) gear at The Center of EOD and Navy Diver Preconditioning and Assessment on Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois. Rear Adm. Jamie Sands, commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), and a Special Operator (SEAL), visited the center and pool (80H) to see the training and talk with facilitators about how they train and assess future EOD members and Navy Divers to see if the students are capable to continue on with follow-on training at the Navy Diver and EOD schools in Panama City, Florida, and Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
