Soldiers from Third Army, check their targets during the zero table before the Top Shot competition here May 1. Zeroing allows soldiers an opportunity to adjust the firearm’s point of aim to reflect the intended point of impact on the target. The competition tested participants’ ability to fire their weapons in a certain amount of time with accuracy. Third Army is ensuring that soldiers remain ready tonight to sustain the fight and use their marksmanship skills accurately under high stress situations.
