SAN DIEGO - Interior Communications Electrician 2nd Class Erika Kinzer repairs a computer in Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) information management department (IMD) Aug. 23. IMD’s repair technicians have wide responsibilities ranging from computer hardware and software support to delivering leading-edge technology to the desktop. NMCSD provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care to active duty and retired service members as well as their dependents thanks to support staff, like those in IMD. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver quality healthcare services and share the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in the San Diego region to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
