Display cards are set up Aug. 15, 2019, for the Fort McCoy (Wis.) observance of Women’s Equality Day in McCoy's Community Center. Dozens of people attended the event. Women’s Equality Day is observed annually on Aug. 26, which was chosen to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote, according to www.nationalwomenshistoryalliance.org.
