Chad Gutierrez, Qualified Recycling Program driver, empties the “Cardboard Only” dumpster into the recycling truck as part of his weekly rounds aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Aug. 20. He first has to physically inspect the contents of the dumpster to ensure that people have not thrown trash into that particular dumpster as trash reduces the money earned for the recycling program.
