U.S. Air Force Capt. Cole Holloway a pilot from the 67th Fighter Squadron, stands in front of an F-15C Eagle Dec. 14, 2018, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. After following in his father’s footsteps and accomplishing his childhood dream of becoming a pilot, Holloway found out he had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Despite his terminal illness and being medically retired from the Air Force, Holloway maintains a positive outlook and is looking forward to the next chapter in his life.
