The Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center uses hyperbaric oxygen to treat patients who have a wide range of illnesses and injuries. Hyperbaric medicine also has a rich history in San Antonio. The first Air Force Hyperbaric Medicine Center opened at Brooks Air Force Base in 1974.
