190719-N-AP176-0074 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (July 19, 2019)- Capt. Rick Hayes, commander, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Group 2 addresses a formation at an awards quarters for current and former Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 6. EODMU 6 provides operational EOD capabilities to include locating, identifying, rendering safe, exploiting, recovering and disposing of all explosive ordnance including nuclear and chemical weapons while providing access for conventional and special operations forces to maneuver across the full range of military operations.
