Sgt. Evan Mendes, a signals intelligence operator with 1st Radio Battalion, was named non-commissioned officer of the quarter of 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He has been recognized for his hard work as the non-commissioned officer in charge of 1st Radio Bn., Alpha Company. Mendes is in the running with other unit’s NCO’s for 1st Marine Expeditionary Force NCO of the quarter this week.
