Jack K. Pritchard, commanding officer of the 196th Infantry Brigade during the closing ceremony of the field training exercise at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, April 25 for Exercise Balikatan 2012. The FTX consisted of nine days of intense and continuous training, combined with outreach projects in the surrounding communities. In the spirit of “shoulder-to-shoulder,” Philippine and U.S. armed forces bilaterally conducted live-fire ranges, explosive ordnance disposal training and tactical operations, as well as community relations projects.
