190809-N-DX072-1043 PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 9, 2019) Cryptologic Technician Technical Seaman Adin Ascher, from Saxtons River, Vermont, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), loads rounds into a .50-caliber machine gun during a crew-serve weapons qualification course. Green Bay, part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
