190803-N-RI884-2210 CORAL SEA (Aug. 3, 2019) – MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopters, assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat (HSC) squadron 25, along with CH-53E Super Stallion heavy-lift helicopters and F-35B Lightning II aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), are secured to the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as the ship transits the Coral Sea. Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready response force for any type of contingency.
