BRISBANE, Australia -- Aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1) at the Port of Brisbane, Petty Officer 2nd Class, Gabrial Buck, an operations specialist hold the Exercise Talisman Sabre flag during the closing ceremony on July 27, 2019. The closing ceremony marks the end of the eighth iteration of Talisman Saber.

Talisman Saber is a biannual exercise between the U.S. and Australian military forces. It represents the strong bond between the nations own forces and their ability to operate together. It provides practical and intense training to ensure U.S. and Australian forces are capable, interoperable, deployable on short notice and combat-ready. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Nicolas A.
