190713-M-QR315-1143 NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BAHRAIN (July 13, 2019) A Coast Guardsman attached to Maritime Security Response Team East, Advanced Interdiction Team Detachment 1, prepares to clear a room during a practice raid with Marines from the Maritime Raid Force, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
