NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 24, 2019) Airman Joshua Sayles, from Orlando, Florida, left, and Airman Gino Barbizan from Simi Valley, California, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) weapons department move an inert GBU-10 bomb from Ford's advanced weapons elevator (AWE) during a weapons training exercise. This is the first time ordinance has been moved using Ford's AWE, one of many milestones representing forward progress on Ford's AWES.
