Soldiers from the Retransmission (Retrans) Team, Company C, 224th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard set-up a retrans site to provide a critical link between outlying units who are out of range of line-of-sight communications during an eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) rotation at Camp Ripley, Minn., on July 25, 2019. During XCTC, components of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (including infantry, cavalry, field artillery as well as engineers) will train in a dynamic and challenging scenarios, both day and night operations, in maneuvers and live-fire exercises specific to the combat and domestic taskings of each unit.
