A piper plays "Amazing Grace" as Army Maj. Gen. Stephen D. Tom renders a salute during a remembrance ceremony that honored the sacrifice of 16 U.S. and Vietnamese individuals who perished in a 2001 helicopter crash. The ceremony honored our fallen and served as a poignant reminder of their sacrifice. The helicopter, carrying seven U.S. and nine Vietnamese crew and passengers, crashed in a mountainous area of Quang Binh while preparing for future recovery operations.
