Twelve World War II Veterans from the famed 12th Armored Division “Hellcats” and their families visited the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., July 26, 2019. Command personnel greeted the veterans to honor and thank them for their service to our nation. The 12th Armored Division was recognized as a liberating unit by the U.S. Army’s Center of Military History and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1988.
