Prior to the garrison change of command ceremony, Col. Kenneth D. Harrison and his wife, Suzie, were honored at an award ceremony July 26 at Memorial Park, which began with the presentation of the Army Community of Excellence streamer. Maj. Gen. Brian J. Mennes, 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Fort Drum commander, presented Harrison with the Legion of Merit. Suzie Harrison was presented the Meritorious Public Service Medal.
