190316-N-KV163-1048 GREAT LAKES (March 16, 2019) Sailors of Navy Reserve Assault Craft Unit-1, detachment Great Lakes run sea and anchor drills at the boathouse onboard Naval Station Great Lakes. ACU-1’s mission includes the traditional assault and follow-on echelon operations to support the Global War on Terrorism as well as independent multi-day anti-piracy patrols, visit-board-search and seizure operations, oil platform defense, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
