Jim Stogden travelled with his wife from Athens, Georgia to visit the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64) on his 75th Birthday. Stogden served aboard the Wisconsin just prior to its involvement in the First Gulf War as a Master Chief Mess Specialist. Stogden is a plankowner of the Battleship’s final commissioning period just prior to the first Gulf War; and one of the areas that he toured was the mess decks and the Chief’s mess.
