U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command standby for a signal from a CH-53E Super Stallion crew chief and pilot to conduct helicopter support training alongside U.S. soldiers with 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, July 18, 2019. This training provides readiness and cohesion between the pilots, crew chiefs and landing support specialists involved. Integrated training between branches improves proficiency in the occupational field as well as cohesion among the forces. The task force is conducting training and engineering projects alongside partner nation military forces in Central and South America.
