Ed Menezes, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), carries his daughter during a homecoming ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk July 18, 2019. Kearsarge is the flagship of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG). The Kearsarge ARG was deployed in support of maritime security operations, crisis response and theater security cooperation, while providing a forward naval presence.
