Early morning in the motor pool

Loaded down with his field gear, a Soldier from the 1-134th Cavalry Squadron walks toward the Squadron’s motor pool as the sun rises at the Rodriguez Live Fire Complex in Korea as part of their annual training, Operation Kouma, on June 6, 2019.

The 1-134th Cavalry Squadron conducts 27 days of training in the Republic of Korea to practice their skills in mortars, sniper rifles, convoy operations and squad lanes. The training these 333 Soldiers will receive is vital to the Squadron’s overall readiness. The last time the Squadron conducted overseas training was 2013 in Germany.
