    Verifying the percentage of oxygen in their air fills is critical and required for dives with oxygen enriched air, or NITROX, to ensure appropriate oxygen partial pressures are not exceeded during the dives. During the Dive Medicine and Rescue Course, students learn the value of using enhanced air for deeper dives and the importance of oxygen use for treatment of dive injuries .
