An Avenger, a short-range air defense weapon system, is used in the West Point CALFEX for the first time in West Point history. The 2-44th Air Defense Artillery Battalion from Fort Campbell, Kentucky provided a SHORAD platoon to teach, educate and train cadets on air defense capabilities and how they enhance the protection of maneuver forces.
