Jordan McConnell, a sophomore at J.R. Arnold High School, plays bass guitar in his room. McConnell was selected as one of 200 students across the U.S. to attend the Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy for the U.S. Marine Corps, held at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, July 15-20. Over the course of the week, students will learn about the Marine Corps mission, core values, military culture and leadership principles.
