Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division hosted the 15th International Submarine Races (ISR) in its 3,200-foot David Taylor Model Basin in West Bethesda, Md., June 24-28. The biennial science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) event provides an avenue for high school and college teams to tackle the difficult challenges of submarine design, construction and operation.
