The Camp Lejeune animal control brought animal crates during the destructive weather exercise at the Wallace Creek gymnasium on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 26, 2019. The installation conducts a destructive weather exercise annually to prepare for the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to November 30. The eastern and southern coastal regions of the United States are periodically affected by tropical storms and hurricanes during these months that bring destructive winds and heavy rainfall.
