Lt. Col. Terje Bruøygard, chief of Telemark Battalion from Lillehammer, Norway, stands proudly with his Marine and Iraqi Officers colleagues during Task Force Lion. Bruøygard received the third-highest Norwegian award, Krigsmedaljen, Norwegian for ‘War Medal’, for his bravery and leadership in combat throughout his seven-month deployment in Iraq alongside U.S Armed Forces.
