A recruit from India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, traverses through an obstacle during the Bayonet Assault Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 25. The course helps recruits build a combat mindset as loud noises are played over a speaker to simulate noises encountered in combat. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 9.
