CAPT Gus Vergara, Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) Commanding Officer, briefs attendees of Ship Repair Industry Day June 11, 2019 at the National Museum of the Royal Navy Portsmouth, United Kingdom. Vergara and briefers from the U.S. and the navies of several NATO members provided each other an overview of their Fleet's capabilities and posture in Europe. FDRMC is the maintenance and sustainment arm of the Naval Sea Systems Command in Europe. They support the combatant ships of the 6th fleet with Fleets technical assistance, emergent and voyage repairs of both deploying ships and the European homeported ships as well as the long and short availabilities for those ships homeported in Europe.
