Gen. Paul E. Funk II, commanding general, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, passes the colors to Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy Guden, during the TRADOC change of command ceremony held at the headquarters, Fort Eustis, Va., on June 21, 2019. Gen. Stephen Townsend, former commanding general, relinquished command to Funk during the ceremony, hosted by Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Mark A. Milley. As TRADOC commander, Funk is responsible for 32 Army schools organized under eight Centers of Excellence that recruit, train and educate of more than 500,000 Soldiers and service members annually.
