Maintenance Airmen with the Hawaii Air National Guard and the 15th Wing service a C-17 Globemaster III June 14, 2017, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The Airmen are integrated into a total-force team, comprised of active duty and ANG Airmen. The aircraft returned from an overnight joint forcible entry operation in Romania, during multinational exercise, Swift Response 19. The annual exercise highlights the inherent flexibility of ground and air forces to rapidly respond to crises. Combined Training enables allies to readily respond more effectively to regional emergencies and meet their own national defense goals. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Airman John Linzmeier)
