BAY OF BENGAL (June 19, 2019) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Charles Bell, command sergeant major of 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), cuts a cake with Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Angela Ramirez, from El Cajon, Calif., assigned to 11th MEU, and Hospitalman Alonso Rincon, from Deming, N.M., assigned to Fleet Surgical Team (FST) 5, on the mess decks of amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) during a ceremony celebrating the 121st birthday of the rating. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies, and maintain a presence to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
