U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West Staff Sgt. David Dormeus, music director and keyboard player, performs with a melodica for parents, patients and hospital staff within an intensive care pediatric ward at the Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, Spokane, Washington, June 19, 2019. When band members have to be mobile during performances, they have to consider what instruments they will be able to use to obtain a complete sound, so Dormeus opted to bring the unusual melodica to fill in for a keyboard. Several members of the band arrived early to Fairchild Air Force Base for the 2019 Skyfest Open House and Airshow and immediately headed out to play for the supportive Spokane community.
