Mongolian Armed Forces and Malaysian soldiers are briefed by Canadian Army Petty Offier 1st Class David Cheeseman during improvised explosive device, mine and unexploded ordnance awareness training as part of Khaan Quest 2019 at Five Hills Training Area, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, June 16, 2019. Cheesman is a clearance diver with Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic. Khaan Quest is a multinational exercise co-sponsored by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and hosted annually by the Mongolian Armed Forces. Approximately 220 U.S. personnel and 900 Mongolian Armed Forces personnel are expected to participate in Khann Quest, along with 750 personnel from 30 other countries.
