Capt. Chris Brossart (3rd from left) carries his company's Guidon while walking with 1st Sgt. Travis Manzke (2nd from left) and a soldier from the 113th Military Police Company (left), also carrying his company's Guidon, during the Bataan Memorial March held at Camp Virginia, Kuwait on March 3, 2012. Brossart, an armor officer, and Manzke, an infantryman, make up the command team of the Alexandria, Minn., based Alpha Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 194th Armor. The 1-194 CAB traces its lineage to the 194th Tank Battalion, who fought bravely in the Philippines during World War II before being captured and forced into the Bataan Death March. This is the 15th annual Bataan Memorial March hosted by the 1-194 CAB, headquartered in Brainerd, Minn., and the first one they have hosted in Kuwait, where they are deployed in support of Operation New Dawn, the final phase of post-combat operations in Iraq.
